"PAG-ASA: Bright Visions for the Future" Saturday, December 10, 2011 | 5pm Yerba Buena Gardens | Jessie Square
The theme of this year's Parol celebration is "PAG-ASA: Bright Visions for the Future." Pagasa is the tagalog word for Hope. What is your hope and your bright vision for the future for yourself, your family, your organization, your community?
Join us for a memorable evening of lights and laughter!
Schedule: 5PM: Entertainment & Parol Gallery in Jessie Square 6:15PM: Parade Starts at Yerba Buena Gardens 6:30PM: Music, Gimme Games, and Tala Awards in Jessie Square
Gimme Game prizes from Seafood City, Rainbow Grocery, Starbucks, Mrs. Field's Cookies, Jamba Juice, Subway, and MORE!
Note: In case of rain, outdoor activities will be cancelled and the festival will take place in St. Patrick's Cathedral at 6:30pm.

PAROL-MAKING WORKSHOPS The Bayanihan Community Center (BCC) hosts FREE parol-making workshops Fridays, 5-8pm starting Friday, October 7 (excluding Friday, November 25). Join us at 1010 Mission Street @6th
PAROL-MAKING MATERIALS Parol-making materials for individuals, parade contingents, and workshop sites will ONLY be available for purchase on Fridays during the BCC Parol-Making workshops - please see table below for pricing. Limited Stock.

We highly encourage past festival participants and contingents to re-use their parol frames from previous years.
Please note we can only offer ONE free parol per person at the BCC workshops. Additional parols can be purchased by donation at these Friday parol-making workshops. Parade contingents should order materials IN ADVANCE of workshop. Order online or contact us at parolsf@gmail.com or 415-348-8042 for more information.
CONTINGENT REGISTRATION FEE There is a $25 registration fee for all participating contingents. Payments can be made online when registering or in person at the Bayanihan Community Center, 1010 Mission St. San Francisco, CA. Contingents will be notified one week in advance if activities will be held in St. Patrick's Church due to rain/inclement weather.
TALA AWARDS ALL participating parade contingents are eligible to compete for a highly coveted Tala Award! Judges will be scoring parols based on 1) creativity/innovation, and 2) design/aesthetics. Please remember that you will be asked to arrive early on the day of the parade for judging.

REQUIRED FORMS All contingents participating in this year's festival & parade must complete TWO FORMS:
1) Contingent Registration Form due October 21, 2010. 2) Production Information Form due November 21, 2010.
If unable to complete the forms online, they may also be submitted in person, by mail, or fax to the Bayanihan Community Center, 1010 Mission St. Ste B. San Francisco, CA 94103, Fax: 415-974-0349. Emailed forms will not be accepted.
